With the final race of the series in the books with the completion of the Far West Championships at Encino Velodrome, we've tabulated the results and gotten our winners. The Men's overall championship went down to the wire with Dan Harm scoring big at the final event to take the lead from Project London's Kevin Mansker to take the overall title and secure himself the Endurance title as well. Mansker did win the Sprint crown ahead of his three Project London team-mates, Michael Blatchford, Daniel Walker and Dean Tracy. Blatchford also finished third in the overall standings, and supported his Project London team to the overall team victory. On the women's side of the things no changes came from the final event, but Momentum Coaching's Cristin Walker took the overall title from Bouledogue Tout Noir's Val Brostrom. Walker also took the sprint title while Brostrom took the Endurance title. Broadmark Capital's Tela Crane held onto third place supporting Dan Harm to bring their BRoadmark Capital team into second in the team standings. Ride Clean pb PatentIt.com finished third in the team title, supported by Jame Carney's and Colleen Hayduck's second places in their respective omniums.
The American Track Racing Association would like to thank all of the athletes and race promoters for making this years series what it was, and helping it to grow. We are looking forward to working towards announcing the details for the 2012 version of the series in the new year.
