NCS Points Update, One Race To Go

The points have been updated and once again we have another lead change at the top of the mens standings. The see-sawing battle between Project London's Kevin Mansker and Broadmark Capitals' Dan Harm has been raging over the past few events, with Mansker taking the lead with one race to go after some great performances at the US Grand Prix of Sprinting at the USOTC Velodrome in Colorado Springs. Michael Blatchford closed the gap to the two front runners with his strong performance at the US Grand Prix of Sprinting and is well within striking distance, just 9 points back from Mansker. Dan Harm looks to have wrapped up the Endurance title, while the Sprint title will be fought out between Mansker and Blatchford.

On the womens side, Momentum Coaching Groups Cristin Walker still holds onto a strong but shrinking lead over Bouledogue Tout Noir's Val Brostrom, who's three win performance at Ed Rudolph's Elaine Nekritz Trophy Race narrowed the gap to Walker. Two riders are tied for third place, Bicycles Plus' Lauren Robertson and Tela Crane of the Broadmark Capital Cycling Team, each rider holding onto 36 points. Walker and Brostrom are each leading the Sprint and Endurance standings respectively.

With just one event on the calendar to go the racing should be tough amongst all of the competitors to sew up their respective competitions. Encino Velodrome will be hosting the final round of the Championship Series, with their Far West Championship event going on the 10th and 11th of September.
